Lt Hip resurfacing 2005 and Rt Hip resurfacing 2006 by Dr. Myron Stachniw
My name is Amy Thunhorst. I am now 48 yrs old and had severe arthritis in both
my hips for several years. Unless you’ve experienced the pain associated with arthritis, it’s hard to understand the impact it has on your
life.
Dr. Stachniw gave me my life back. I appreciate pain free movement.
I can get down on the floor and play with my grandchild. I can
Go for walks again. Those are just a few of the things I couldn’t
Do prior to surgery. Now I can do anything! My scars are the only thing that
remind me that I’ve had hip surgery. I also haven’t experienced any problems
associated with surgery.
I would and have recommended hip resurfacing. Dr. Stachniw, Deb, and his office staff are wonderful to work with and were
very caring. When you’re the patient and you’re uncertain about what is normal and what isn’t it helps to have people that you
can call and ask questions – they were very helpful. I was prepared for my surgery and recovery by the detailed information given to me by my
doctor and his staff. If you are considering surgery, make sure you have a physician that is willing to do this for you. Dr. Stachniw had just
this surgery and certainly knew the drill.
Grateful – a second chance to live life to it’s fullest!
