Bill’s Hip Resurfacing with Dr. Marwin 2015
Thank you for all of the info you post on your site. I read the updates fairly regularly, and it is a great wealth of knowledge.
I am now just past the 5 week mark on my right hip resurfacing, and I am starting to feel more like myself. Outside of sleep, everything is coming together. Sleep is still an issue, as I am a side sleeper and movement jars me awake, and it’s hard to get back to sleep.
Played my first round of golf on Saturday, walked the course- no cart- and though tired at the end, felt good enough to set up my next game this week.
Can tie my shoes, socks are a chore but I can get there eventually, and can now dry my feet with a towel post shower. The little things mean a lot! Even my limp is gradually going away.
Also had a friend go through double resurface the next day, and he is doing great. Just the thought of that is painful.
Anyway, thanks again for what you do. It’s a big help in understanding what’s next, and what’s to come. Maybe I will post this to your site if I can figure out how.
BTW my surgery was done by Dr Scott Marwin at NYU/HJD. The people at the hospital were fantastic, and Dr Marwin and staff have been great with all of my question.
