LBHR Dr. Schmitt November 16, 2010

I had my left BHR surgery with Dr. Schmitt on 16-Nov-10 and it went well. I started walking with a walker on the second day and went home on 18-Nov. No too much pain. Incision is healing well.
Today’s is day 5 and swelling is pretty extensive in the area of the operated thigh above the knee though no extensive pain,
I had my hip resurfaced Monday morning on June 16th by Dr.

Tomorrow, May 8th is my big day for a RBHR with Dr. Schmitt at Huron Valley Hospital. I’m a little nervous but looking forward to being more active again, as I’m sure all of us are. My name is Dustin and I received an LBHR on 6/18/12. I am 24 years old and have not had anyone to talk to around my age about surgery/recovery from a BHR.
My surgeon is Dr. Schmitt based out of the DMC in southeastern Michigan.
I am now 3 days post op and feeling pretty good. I am home and did really well with PT in the hospital. After the

It was a tough recovery and a lot of work but overall it has been great…I can do things I have not done in a very long time and the pain in my hip is nothing like it was…nothing. Surgery went well yesterday . Doctor Schmitt said it was definitely bone on bone and I should feel a huge difference. Pt this morning.

June 6, 2010 I’m about to do my LBHR with Dr. Philip Schmitt in metro Detroit. He’s done ~700 BHRs so far, and according to his office he’s got a great success rate – only 6 failures/revisions.
I apparently was born with femoracetabular impingement & have arthritis (10y+ at 41 y.o), and over the last year or so it’s degraded on the left side to where I can’t easily lift … Read the rest
