My Own Spirit Level Hip Resurfacing 2009

Published on Sep 20, 2012

I hope this gives those of you who are considering a Birmingham Hip Resurfacing some confidence to get the procedure done. I wish I had gotten it done a year earlier, because it made me totally born again hard! I remodel kitchens for a living. Before the surgery, I was basically done working at 2 p.m. because the Lortab would wear off and the pain would get debilitating. I didn't want to take more than one Lortab per day because of fear of getting addicted. I only had to lay out for about six weeks before going back to work. I did some intense physical therapy on my own during that time.

It's been almost three years and I never, ever give my hip a single thought. I can work really hard for 12 hours straight, play football with my boy, run at a full sprint, not to mention little things like touch my toes, put on my socks, and do personal hygiene on my toes and feet. It's amazing what we take for granted.
