Jay Hall's Hip Resurfacing 2011

June 24, 2011

I'm having occasional chills and night sweats as well - it's day 4 post-op for me. The sweats were significant and I felt a big increase in overall pain level - as if coming down with the flue. So far, the symptoms have passed and i don't have a fever. I'm reassured to see here that I'm not the only one. Obviously lots going on post-surgery.

Still having night sweats - often intense, but not every night. I'm 3 weeks now. All else is great. I've had night chills in the past unrelated to the hip so... it could be anything. But i think it's somehow connected to what's going on inside me.

I lost all feeling in a portion of my thigh (on the operated side) -- about a 4x6 inch area.

3 months post-op. I get the "tooth ache" aching thing at night especially when I've been very active that day. It can be pretty intense and long-lasting. Almost feels like there is something wrong but - it seems to be mainly a night time issue. I sure hope this gets better!

UPDATE : this pain has completely gone away ! It very gradually subsided and now, at 4 months is non-existant!

April 2012

UPDATE - The nerve damage in my thigh has completely subsided at about 10 months.  I have almost normal feeling again!
