Oh Anna, still no appointment date with Mr O'Hara? I went back and read your posts to see if I'd missed something when on holiday, noticed you mentioned Glentress, not far from me. You should come and stay! Slight problem of two staircases but I'd feed you enough wine that you wouldn't notice  ;D have you chased his office, it seems like a long time to wait to get allocated an appt. chin up and come n stay! Xx

How long has it been for you now? From seeing my GP to getting to see Mr T was about 6 weeks. x

Did you have a good holiday Sal? Id definately come stay. Im sure I could cope with the stairs .... especially as you have promised food and wine!!! :) I really want to go mountain biking up near you. Its supposed to be ace.

I saw Mr T on 11th June I think so it has been a while but hes had to write to my GP to get me referred. Then it took me ages to get an appointment with my GP to 'discuss' the options. Then I had my CT scan up here so that they could send it down to Mr O'Hara. Then I had to book a telephone consultation with my GP to get referred to Mr O'Hara .... now im just waiting for a date to meet him! Everything takes soooo long. It was only last week that my GP has finally referred me properly so im expecting a letter soon .... fingers crossed x

I think these things, especially if they're not 'cut and dry' can take their time. I was first referred to Mr T August 2011... and only now can I see a light at the end of the tunnel. It's heartbreaking when you're in so much pain and you're begging someone to fix you. x

Yeah, I think they want to explore all options. I just wish everything didnt take so long! So its been nearly a year for you Ruby and you are back where you started!!! Lol, hopefully now Mr T can sort you and you know that a BHR is the best option for you after exhausting everything else  :)

I only started the ball rolling in march this year so I suppose I still have a way to go. Im keeping my fingers crossed that I will have an op before christmas but who knows x

right Girls, we ARE going to get fixed.  and hopefully all three before Xmas, thinking positively and we will make it happen.  We should get together for a glentress trip the three of us, Ruby and Anna you can ride bikes and laugh at my attempts (its been, oh 20years since i rode!) or i can be chauffeur up the hills for you guys which i normally do for Hubby and the kids! I'll need to be fixed first because  i can't drive at the mo but It would be nice to all meet up and throw some wine at or after our problems! i feel that we are living through the same nightmare at the moment.  So, something to look forward to is always good!  Mr T, Mr V and Mr O'H are definitely going to fix us, am sending them positive vibes mmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm mmmmmmm.  Praying for a date for you soon Anna.  xx

Oh my goodness. Just got home from work, collapsed on the bed in agony. I can't move my left leg more than a couple of inches up and I've got shooting pains around my lower back.

This can't continue like this.

Oh Ruby, hang on.... In two days time you might just get the best news. Can you get into a bath? The warmth might help. Sending huge hugs xxxxxx

Thanks guys.

I managed to haul myself in and out of the bath, but it was all a bit of a drama and there ended up being more water on the floor than in the tub!! I haven't taken any pain medicine today as nothing I have works any longer  :( I'm seeing my GP on the 31st to see about getting some stronger meds.

Am now just laying on the bed, feeling quite sorry for myself, wishing it was Wednesday evening and I knew what was going on.
