I knew by about four months post op that the new hip was an improvement and it confirmed how the old painful one was stopping me swinging properly, often one day good, the next day bad as a result of unconsciously not turning away properly due to the pain ...

... well, it has been brewing a while, I've seen parts of my game improve, driving the ball better than ever and recently got the putter working its magic. Yesterday was the highlight of my long golfing career: four under par gross 66 for a net 59, my best score ever, to win my club's Open Championship.

And here I am up at 6am for another round: pre op this was no longer an option, it would take a day or two to get over it. Oh, and I should mention I played Wednesday and Friday too, winning two matches with some scintillating (by my standard  ;) ) play too.
