Title: YEAH! Six months and going strong!
Post by: mtnhippy on April 11, 2009, 03:58:52 PM
I celebrated my six month weekend by going snowshoeing solo!  Seems boring but I actually fastened my snowshoe from a standing position by MYSELF!  It's tough to bend over, thread the tabs thru the loops then pull tension to tighten.  I usually get help but love to snowshoe solo on my favorite trails when it's snowing (today was perfect).  I have two desert hiking trips and a couple trips to City of Rock in Idaho for climbing planned.  I'm going to work and play hard before my second surgery in October.

As I read everyone's posts, I realized I went into the surgery very naive so feel extremely fortunate my results were so successful.  I basically do one hour of cardio a day and add snowshoeing, climbing and very soon desert hiking.  My xrays look great, my cup angle is 42 degrees.  I'll be returning to Dr. Hickman!

Pat, this web site is invaluable.  When I have a little quirk, I just search and another member seems to have the answer.  THANKS everyone!

Most of us get this  :) For me it was putting on my pants without sitting down!

Congrats!
