Good aftrnoon, all!
I've been limping around and (im)patiently waiting to hear from Dr. Gross regarding the status of my test info forwarded for review.
I'm in the middle of juggling job interviews (and the birth of my first grandchild in another state). I hesitate to make any committments to pending job possibilities, but can't afford to let the job opportunities pass by either. So, needless to say, I'm anxious to hear if I am going to be a candidate for the resurfacing!
His site states that two weeks after receiving an out-of-state patient packet, that a patient could expect a call from Dr. Gross with the consult phone call.
So, if any of you out there can offer what your experience was insofar as when you finally heard from his office from the time that you overnighted your information, I would really appreciate it ;)
Thanks so much for any replies :)

Hi Chillman....
If you feel its going to long, then you can easily contact Dr. G's surgical assistant, Lee Webb - she's awesome!
Her info is here:
If you would like to contact Lee Webb, Nurse Practitioner:
E-mail: LeeW@midlandsortho.com
Call and leave a voicemail: (803) 331-6894
She's really good about answering via phone or email.
Dr Gross got back to me pretty quickly, less than 2 weeks. He had to call 2 or 3 times to finally get me. It was around the holidays.
Thank you for your replies! :)
I hesitated to phone because I didn't want to be dubbed a problem patient! lol
I will wait another day and perhaps my patience will pay off with a call tomorrow ~

Hello C,
I sent my information the week before Easter and heard from Dr. Gross the Monday after Easter at 9:30 pm, less than two weeks. My surgery is scheduled for July 15. That was the soonest date available. Hope this helps.

Hi Jennie :)
As luck would have it, I heard from Dr. Gross this evening!
Had a great conversation with him, and covered a lot of information. It appears that I still have space on the X-ray indicating remaining cartlidge (sp), not bone-on-bone yet. Now we need to do a few more tests to help identify the cause of my pain.
What a pleasure to talk with a doctor who took the time to evaluate and convey his findings to me in terms which didn't leave me feeling helpless/hopeless for a change!
Good luck with your upcoming surgery and recovery, Jennie!!!
