Title: 1 Year On....
Post by: Tekka on January 22, 2010, 08:47:47 PM
Hi All,

It is twelve months today since I received my LBHR, from Mr McMinn.

I have be transformed, I was old before my years and it felt like a part of life had been taken away, I was no longer training properly and my whole body was being was messed up because of my hip.

I am now back to full training, I just choose not to run !!

My right hip is on its way, this time when it is ready I will not hesitate, I check this site daily and I enjoy reading and seeing us all progress, sometimes re-surfacing it is not always a success and to those folks I admire the strengh they have shown with coping and moving forward...loads of respect to you guys !!

Cheers for the site Pat.......

Best wishes

Terry

Hi Terry

Thanks for the update.  Glad to hear things have gone well for you.  You are an inspiration for other patients.  They love to hear about how well people do when they are healed and living an active life again.

Good Luck and stay in touch.

Pat

Hi All,

That's exactly how I felt after my left BHR.   As it turned out, it was nearly four years before I had the right hip done.

Congrats on your progress.  Good to be there, isn't it!    ;D

As you did, I'd like to add my best wishes to those people for whom hip resurfacing hasn't worked.   I can imagine how devasting that must be.
