Two years ago today (1/9/2009) I had BHR on my right hip, but the rest of me is still 50+ years old. Other parts of my body have some aches and pains, but my new hip has no pain, no clunking, no shorter leg, so squeaking, better than new.
While the first 3-4 weeks after my surgery was not the most pleasant time of my life, I got through it and it's all just now a memory. I was told that me left hip will need some intervention in the future. While I'm not rushing to fix it, when the time comes I'll just get it done.
I have to say it was the best thing I ever did to be free of pain and return to normal everyday activities.
Thank you Dr. Marwin and the staff at NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases for a great job!

I couldn't agree more! My second anniversary is next month. Nothing about what I went through the first time will make me think twice when the time comes to fix the other side. And I have my life back :)
