Hello All!
I am now one week post op and PT says I am doing great with good range. I go see Doc Thur. Dec.10th. I had forgotten all the
pains associated post op from my previous THR. Funny how the mind is able to retrieve them for you however! I definitely feel I
may have "overdone" last Fri and Sat as these last two days have not been as painful. Must learn to guage my activity level better.
My PT also says realizing that I've had Scoleosis that I seem noticably "off" in my leg length. It made me feel better to read that this
sensation is quite normal although it will be up for discussion on Thurs. with the Doc.
Has anyone here had Scoleosis and then undergone HR? I do realize that every situation is different and every "body" is different.
Thanks for everyones input! ;D
Kathy
Hi Kathy
Glad you were able to get logged in again.
Sounds like you are doing well. As I posted, the "long leg syndrom" is quite normal. I did not have that, but many, many people did.
Dr. De Smet always told us - do less than you think you can. Never over do your activities. You think you feel great, then find out you have done too much. You pay a big price in the early stages of recovery for doing too much.
Many people get into extra pain and/or swelling when they do too much early on.
Just be a little cautious and do a little less than you think you can. It won't be many months before you are walking miles at a time. Trust me - it will happen.
Sorry I don't know about Scoleosis. I will be happy to learn about it if someone else has info to share.
Good luck and keep in touch.
Pat
