Took to the woods today, went grouse hunting. Extremely tough hunting area, hidden rocks, branches, wet leaves and up and down steep cliffs.
My operated hip is the only joint that is not aching right now.
It worked!

Congratulations...glad yours worked out as well as mine has!
Sadly no, but I feel great this morning knowing that I've given my hip a really good test. My shoulders and knees are sore right now I am going to pop a couple advil and I am playing 18 holes with my daughter in an hour now.

Sounds great Chuck - good test of the bionics.
Chuck-
So you are saying yesterday you were shooting birds and today you are shooting birdies?
Nice!

Well done Chuck, I went out this weekend too!! Now I am just under 3 months and therefore I am trying to be really careful and I did not do a lot of walking but it was nice to be out again, I thought I would have to miss this season completely. I am waiting for it to get a little colder and then I am going to sit in a blind and hunt geese until I go in for my next surgery on Dec 6, 2011. Should be full bore next hunting season!!
Mike - You're going to sit in a blind for 1.5 months?
I'm at 8 weeks with no. 2 and feeling pretty good. Riding my bike with no trouble, other than getting on it. I think I'm pretty much walking without a limp, it's really starting to feel strong.
Chuck - thanks for the post, I'm looking forward to doing some serious hiking next spring.
