Title: Challenging Patient, with no hip joint, seeks competent doctor
Post by: Spanielsal on March 28, 2012, 12:19:05 PM
Hi am posting for a girl I've met on another site, due to problems with an infection she's now without a hip joint.  She is fearful of never getting fixed and staying in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.  She's in the UK but willing to travel, is there a doctor out there who might be able to help her?  please pm me and I will forward her contact details.  Cheers, Sal

Ronan Treacy in Birmingham is available on the NHS. He is the most experienced resurfacing surgeon in the world (has done around 7000). When I was looking for a surgeon I asked my dads mates who are hip surgeons who they thought was the best and all 3 of them said Ronan Treacy. I thought that said it all.
Mcminn is not available on the NHS.

Deffo sounds like a job for Mr Treacy! Seriously he's done thousands of HR's and thousands of THR's and revisions. He's the man to go to!
