Title: Boomer's Costa Rica Hip Rehabilitation

I hobbled around Costa Rica last Spring with a terrible right hip that pretty much ruined my vacation despite eating ibuprofen like M and Ms. Well I am celebrating the four month anniversary of my new hip in Tamarindo, Costa Rica and have to tell you the hip is perfect. I'm down here with a couple of 28 year old surfers and have been hanging with them every step of the way. We spend the entire day walking the beached with surf boards, boogies boards, coolers etc. looking for the perfect waves. Hours in the water, miles of walking and my hip has been silent, except for a little stiffness at the end of the day and the morning.

Hernanu told me early on about picking up pieces of my life once my recovery stared. Well, I've picked up the Costa Rica beach piece already. Pura Vida!

We are off to Playa Avelenna today for more surfing and lunch at famous Lola's on the Beach.

The hip is perfect and life is good.

Awesome!  Surfing is on my bucket list.  Technically I've done it once.....in Charleston SC the day after Hurricane Charlie blew through.  A surfer taking a rest let me use his board.  I know why surfers are super fit....MAN that was a lot of work.

Sounds Heavenly.  I've been dreaming of warm sandy beaches and long walks.  I'm a Pisces and like rock music....LOL  but seriously - sand walking is one of the best exercises.  Used read stories of ski racers running on the beach in their ski boots.  To put my feet in warm sand and drink with an umbrella in my hand - just sounds perfect. 

ENJOY & CONGRATS!!!  Bring some warmth back to Colo with you, it's been nice here, but snow possibly on Sunday.
