Well, here we go!
About to head to see Dr. Pritchett this morning, and will soon join the ranks of the surface hippies!
No more questions. No more doubt. Just time to get this thing done.
Thanks to all who have posted and responded to some of my posts. This site has been invaluable to my journey to this point, and will be on my journey after this point.
Keep watching this space for updates.
See you on the flip side of morning!

YIPPEEEE! Good luck :)
Good luck and prayers to you AdRoc.
All the best for your op, look forward to reading about your recovery. Ka
Good luck Adroc, you are about to board the roller coaster to a great destination, have patience and be kind to yourself. We are all here to ride the ups and downs with you. Will be thinking of you, check in soon! Sal
AR, by the time you read this you'll be out of recovery. Congratulations, now it's time to get to work and build up that new hip.
Pround to join the ranks of the surface hippies! Thanks for all your kind words.
All went well. Not too much pain at the moment. We are staying on top of it with the pain meds.
Pritchett told me I got a 50 mm femoral component in the 15 seconds he was in the room. Kind of comical, really. But, what do you expect from a surgeon?
Waiting to get up and see what standing feels like.
More later...

CONGRATS!!!!!
Yay! All done, now for the recovery. After the first few days it gets much easier.
I know what you mean about surgical flying visits, I talk fast anyway but tend o speed up when with my surgeon to pack in all I want to ask in the time he can spend with me! Garbled gabble probably.....
Congratulations adroc. Good luck!!
Congrats and welcome to the other side.
Fantastic! Hang in there for the first few weeks. You're gonna love it.
And, STAY on top of the pain meds....don't be a hero. Not being a pill-taker in general, I made that mistake in the first few days and regretted it.
Continued good luck!
Welcome to the ranks AdRoc! Take it slow, things will progress slowly, but you will be surprised by them. Keep in mind how much you were willing to give to get your life back, and all you have to do is be patient now. The procedure is over and all there is now is healing.
Good Luck!
