She got a THR, but she sounds just like us.
Good luck to her. Blood transfusions can be life saving but they are to be avoided if at all possible as they are jus not natural and introduce lots of problems. If you have a THR you are much more likely to need a transfusion. If you have a revision of your THR you are virtually guaranteed to need a transfusion as revision surgery of primary THRs is a 'bloody mess', to coin a phrase, and sometimes the blood loss is a real problem. It is hardly surprising as in a THR you are reaming out the bone marrow of your primary long bone, the femur, the site of much of our red blood source. One more reason for choosing a BHR??
Yep another plus for BHR the transfusion rate is really small!
She will probably never meet up with the TSA staff for a pat down - wish I could travel in my own jet!
I flew to Birmingham in my private jet but when I got there, there wasn't a parking space big enough at the BMI Edgbaston, so I turned around and got my Brother to drive me. ;D
