Hi all.
I've used a Powerplate vibration exercise machine at home for many years with great results for strengthening muscles and improving flexibility.
Being only 3 weeks post-op I haven't gone anywhere near it yet, and haven't been able to get very clear advice from a couple of physios I've spoken to as to whether it will ever be OK to use it again.
I wondered whether anyone here has any post-op experience with this kind of machine? Or whether you've heard any medical advice on the subject?
Thank you.
All the best,
Martin
Is that some sort of "Marital Aid"?

I would of thought it wise to wait till at least 6 months mate
Agree with Danny.
The muscles are your second priority, making sure the bone grows in well to the implant is first to me.
Making the muscles stronger while the vibration may compromise the bone to implant junction may defeat the whole purpose - I'd wait until the bone can settle in well.
Good points hern also if you wait till 6 months then start using the vibe plate it may help increase your bone density:)
Ok. Thanks everyone. I'll definitely wait till six months!
I had to sell my vintage Lambretta because the vibration played my hip up. Try it after six months but stop at first sign of a twinge.
