Heading off to race next Sunday 9/8...
A little anxious...but excited.
Will try to be conservative on the bike in hope of a bit of run longevity strength.
I scoff often to friends like it's no big thing about this BHR in my ass, but you guys/gals know how big of a "thing" it is. I will be thinking about you all as I race. I've been trying to push myself and the limits of the BHR, some to teach my young son to NEVER give up, and mostly to feed the monster within (aka athlete, whatever that is, to continue to strive as long as you live)
Best..
David
Good luck and gods speed dude! ;)
Good luck David! put some miles on that metal.
You had the BHR implanted in your ass???!! :o I always thought IM people were a little weird.
;D Good luck, David. Despite our friendly competetive nature, we are totally on the same team. You will rock it.
Recently enjoyed watching highlights of the Kalmar, Sweden 70.3 IM.
It's a super human effort for a guy with a BHR - best of luck.
Congratulations Dave, I just saw your results. Your the fastest Hippie on the planet!
Thanks Jim...that was an awesome course in Vegas.
Most difficult by far in the 28 years I've been at it. Much, much harder than Kona. Based on that fact, very happy with how my hip held out. Almost 3000' of elevation change on the bike, was intentionally conservative on the uphills. Not a flat spot on the 3 loop run either, was up or down. Did the run, walk through transition thing. Was World Championship #10 in the bag...feeling blessed my BHR helped me accomplish this...
That's fantastic, David, you rock!
Awesome!!!! Well done mate! Your an inspiration!
Thanks for these encouraging news, great to hear how some test / push the limits of these devices... Maybe one day in the future I could be doing the same, with time and a bit of luck.
