Title: 2 year checkup
Post by: Dan L on December 31, 2013, 12:18:54 PM
I went through my "2 year" checkup for the bi-lat BHRs yesterday (left 26 months, right 22 months) and all is well, no surprises, and no need to come back to see Phil or Dr Brooks for 3 more years.  Brooks is now over 1800 BHR's completed.

Zero pain, zero things I can't do, and 100% satisfaction with the resurfacings.  As noted by Fenceman (Bill), another Brooks patient, I too saw alot more improvement and healing between year 1 and year 2.  The whole experience has helped me focus on health, weight, BP, etc and all of the effort to stay active and exercise for my hips has translated into better health overall, which has been a great side benefit.

The only minor things I see are stiffness when sitting too long, (desk job) which is easily fixed by walking for 10-15 minutes.

I could not be happier with the outcome so far.

Happy new year.

Dan

Congratulations Dan, and thanks for the wonderful update. New hips are beautiful things to have aren't they?

You and I are on a similar time line, with me just a few months behind. You were one of the Hippys I relied upon to get through my resurfacing journey.

I'll be sure to raise a glass tonight to your successful trip to the other side, where we are having an awful lot of fun.

Congrats, Dan - you'll still see improvements in your third year.
