Title: Weather
Post by: Dannywayoflife on December 06, 2014, 06:48:28 PM
How many other hippies find their arthritis gets more painful in winter? Mine is really bad right now. So bad actually I have decided to try and do my bilat sooner than I had planned initially. I'm going to try and get Mr Treacy's secretary to book me in as soon as I can! I've lost patience with this arthritis nonsense!

Def not feeling cold.   Not to sure if it is the decreased level of activity - not as much walking, biking, etc or does the temperature really cause pain.  Moving to Florida

Cold and damp weather definitely makes it flare up. One of my Dr's (forget if it was the chiropractor or physiatrist) told me that this was not just an old wives' tale but really happens.

I've been pretty active for a while now so it's not the activity level. It's literally gone down hill since the weather has changed :(

Yeah, and I have to skip my soccer game this morning. My HR hip is fine but the other side has some arthritis that isn't serious enough to need surgery (yet). A combination of weather and overdoing it in a fitness class yesterday means I need to sit it out this week.  :'(
