Title: Anyone Have Dr. Callander do their hip?
Post by: johnd_emd on December 08, 2014, 12:18:00 AM
Been a while since I've been on here.  Had my right hip done a few years ago with Dr. Rector.  Everything went perfect.  Went back to racing the bike at a Pro1-2 level even.  (I'm in my 50's).  But, this past year ended up in a horrific crash when another rider shoved another rider into me.  After having a near death experience, 9 broken ribs, fractured right femur (BHR held tight), broken clavicle in 3 places, and almost died because the lungs were punctured in so many places and filled up with blood, I've decided to get the other hip done.  Bone on bone now.  Thinking of staying here in California this time and wondered what anyone's experiences with Dr. Callander were like.  You can PM me too.

"Racing the bike" as in motorcycle?

I had my right hip done October 18th, 2011 by Dr. Callander and haven't had any issues whatsoever!  Unfortunately seems that now is the time to get the left side done as well!?

You can contact me at bruce@occsailing.com or 949-220-3285 if you want.

Thanks Otter.  I'll give you a call in a day or two.  No, I race road bikes.  (The pedal kind :-)
