Hi all. I've been following the posts on this fantastic site for some time now. My operation is booked for this Thursday, with Ronan Treacy, and although I'm nervous, worried if I'm doing the right thing, this site has been a Godsend. Thanks Pat. Great work.
Dave, good luck Thursday. I know you're going to do great!
Good luck Dave your in good hands and will be back on the mat soon enough :)
Good luck Dave, I'm scheduled for mine in 5 weeks so really interested to see how you go with post op recovery etc. All the very best.
Thanks everyone. I'll keep you posted.
Davy some day in the future we should get together and have a roll or do some training ;)
That'll be great Danny. I've a mate that lives in Brighton so I can always pop down.
Can't wait to get rolling again. !!!!
Good luck. We all get last minute nerves and question if we are doing the right thing. On the day before my op I was thinking to myself "I think I am a bit better this morning, do I need this"
You'll hand me my butt but it will be a giggle mate ;)
The evening before my surgery I went and kicked a ball around to remind myself how badly I needed fixing.

I tried to do a clam on my right side yesterday to do some prehab and my rom is so bad I can't even do one! I was shocked how bad my rom has become!
Good luck! I, too, had doubts! I finally decided I was more scared of how fast it was progressing and of what would happen if I DIDN'T go through with the surgery!! Here's to a future of no hip pain and great ROM!!!
Ha. I doubt that Danny!!! Anyways, thanks everyone for all your comments
Mate the key for you now is enjoy your recovery. Get a netflix subscription get plenty of frozen peas in the freezer( there the best ice pack I've found) and get plenty of good food down ya neck and enjoy relaxing.
Pm me mate and we can swap numbers
Good luck tomorrow, daveyboy.
My surgery is next week and haven't had the pre-op jitters yet, but I've certainly had some good days that made me briefly think twice as well. Ultimately you know if it's the right thing and right time; and you couldn't have picked a better surgeon so I know you'll do well.
Good luck. mr. treacy is one of the best.
pat
Totally normal to start second guessing.
Believe me, it's the best thing ever. You'll get your active life back, and will largely forget you ever had a metal hip put in.
Good luck!
Andy
