Title: 5 k's
Post by: karlos.bell on October 05, 2015, 04:08:28 PM
:) :) Hi all. Some positive stuff..........  My first 5 k run today. Dog loved it, I loved it and seemed my body loved it as well..... I got the tick to do what I what from Dr De Smet..... His reply to my email.....
Amazing 5 months after your op your running..... I waited 8 years for this day. Choice!! is what I say.........  K. Dear Karl, at this stage you can do what you want, just like you feel.
There are not any constraints, just do it progressively like your body tells you

:) Thanks all, shows you there is some merit at keeping at things. I have a couple of physical attentions to achieve before I pass on this planet and can hang on the wall as a reminder of bygone days. 1 is a 5 - then 10 k run soon (1 month time) and then a 2 tussock challenge 26 km over terrain that I love to be in (early next year). So with that all in mind I know "critics"yep he's that guy that going to blow it all again.
Nope I don't think so I will build up to it and check it is right before I do it. Then hey I would love to get a job I lost as I liked working and doing  that as well.
But when you have had an issue for so many years and you get replacements that seem to be better than what you had, man I do not want to miss the opportunity while I am still relatively young.
Hopefully my grand kids will say."There is granddad the stupid old fella out running again" does his hips never wear out!!
keep you posted and see what it comes to.... Cheers K
