Title: What doctors will do two hips in a week?
Post by: blinky on February 27, 2016, 11:09:27 PM
My hips are done and I did both in a week with Dr Gross and was glad I did.

Who else will do two in a week or less? And does anyone know of THR docs who will do it? How common is it? Are there ways to find doctors who will do two closely staged surgeries?

I am asking on behalf of a friend. She will investigate Dr Gross and see if that is the right path for her, but it could be her insurance won't cover him or even that she doesn't have enough femoral head for resurfacing. She needs new hips but is at the start of figuring out who to see and what procedure she should have.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that Dr. Marwin does bilateral at the same time, as well.

Dr. Jason Brockwell, HongKong. I got both sides in one surgery. That was my best decision ever.

Same day bilateral; Dr Marwin, 11/15/2011.  Nine days later I walked out of NYU Joint Disease Hospital with just on cane.  Running a tough, hilly 15K road race this saturday, planning to run well!
