This last week work has been very demanding...
I push bar equipment around and at time distances..
Some of my equipment weights 300 pounds plus, and we roll on grass and carpets
Lifting and carrying is a must in my work.
Lately I have something best as described as a buckle in my hip.
Its a split second of pain and loss of power there.
My hip feels tired as of right now, I am focusing on it while working for the buckle happened over 10 times in the last 3 days except yesterday was less for I really took it easy at work, and today a day off and it hasn't happened as of yet.
I fear I will be carrying something and drop it if it happens at the wrong time.
It seems to happen when I give a slight twist to my movement.
There is a quick shot of pain as it happens, almost electrical..split second in timing.
I hedge my body/a short curl falling feeling then I am good again.
As I say, work has been very demanding lately, high volume of work.
Rest has been lacking.
No pain otherwise.
Just happened to see my surgeon out and about, and I did ask out of office about this..he said something more in the line of make an appointment and lets get the metal count.
I am hoping that I am just overworked
Also I had an intense deep cleaning of my teeth earlier in the week..
I am just checking to see if anyone else might of "Buckled" like what I have described??

shout out to Wayne and John...hope all is great for you guys..
I have seriously been great
Kiting and motorcycles
Just hoping this it overworked
and
maybe tired and or
something simple like
too many beers in my diet and not enough ....yeah yeah ..
Good to see you back on the forum, and it sounds like doing well other than the current glitch.
I have had two periods when I experienced exactly what you are describing, but both were before my resurfacing.
One time was after a failed stem cell injection, and after 6 weeks of it getting worse and worse, I had my resurfacing which solved the problem.
The other time might be relevant. It was my other hip 25 years ago. A number of people came up with diagnoses of what was wrong with my hip to cause it, but it turned out to be a ruptured disc in my back which was referring these electrical shots of pain into my hip. After fighting it for 9 months, I had a discectomy (most of the disc material taken out), and problem solved after a few months of rehab.
Hope you find an easy solution for this one.
Yeah, really am hoping that I am just overworked from this busy season.
Yesterday I barely noticed anything but 1 half twitch.
Hoping this weeks light work load will do the trick, there is wind on the weekend.
I will give reports and updates as this week/month goes by.
Nice to report, no buckle today, just a slight notice of be careful in my hip...then all good. I worked today..and all went well...so I am hoping that I have been overworked...also to note, I had ridden my mountain bike last Monday and Tuesday causally a few miles Mon and 15 miles Tues...so maybe that put extra stress on my body.
I am not used to taking it easy...so maybe that might be what happens when taking it not easy.
Will update
btw, I am almost 10 years in I believe, BHR Nov 5, and I am very active
never had any problems, but I do recommend doing PT to get range of motion back, I don't stretch so I am tight in my hip...
Nice week for me, no true incidents and I got in 4 days of kiting in and a few work days.
Just guessing too much work and overload on my hip gave me my issue..
Hopefully I won't have to revisit this..

Great to hear your report. I think that we are about the same amount of time post surgery,, I am just past nine years now with all going well. Last winter I had one bad day that hit out of the blue. It was the first really bad day since the first few months post surgery, and it went away after one day. I guess that strange surprises are just part of the adventure.

:) Yep My hips are still getting stronger by the year now and buckling the left side does exactly that still after 2 years. The tendons now glide over structures so if it is overworked depending on the structure this will cause inflammation and issues around those points. Especially the It band - over the cup area - Iliposoas.

good information there karlos.bell (http://surfacehippy.info/hiptalk/index.php?action=profile;u=4093)
thank you for that..
definitely sounds as if that week I was overworked.
