Title: Cormet 24 Month Study
Post by: Big Bill on August 19, 2008, 02:40:04 PM
Hi ...Big Bill here ... I am participating in a 24 month study with Cormet, facilitated through my surgeons' office . I Just had my 6 week entry. It was my first post op . Without gettin' into alot of detail about the "Harris Score " and all of that  ???.... my flexibility and ROM is already better than before surgery  ;D . The 90 degree rule was gone several weeks ago... (about 110 + now). Good flexion, internal and external rotation, lateral, etc. They were very happy and impressed !!  ::)  I am "level" and walk "tall and straight". Been walking 2 miles a day and am back to lite lower body work outs at the gym. I still do alot of upper body on machines. My pool sessions will resume in about 2 more weeks as I have a small stubborn spot on my incision that is sluggish to heal. I had the anterior approach (front top thigh) and  where my waistband is, my shorts it rubs it a bit. I had another where my leg bends at the top of the thigh. It is just about all gone and healed. Time is all I need !  I can't wait to get in the pool again.. it is hot here in Houston!

Hi Big Bill

Sounds like you are doing great at 6 weeks.  Keep up the good work.

I added your signature in you post for you so it was not separate from the original message.

I hope your recovery continues to go really well.  I am sure you will enjoy the pool.

Best of luck.

Pat
