The forum was hacked and I have been working on it for weeks. I always to backups, etc. It was so messed up that the newer backups wouldn't work. I tried one from April 2020 - YEA YEA YEA it worked. I know there are a few months of missed messages and some newer members will have to register again - BUT I finally have it restored and working. I didn't think I was going to ever get it running again.

Thanks guy and gals. I appreciate your support. I just did not want the old forum to die! People like hernanu have almost 4000 posts. A lot of folks have come and gone, and othesr stay to help. It is easy to forget about all the things that followed surgery when you have healed. That's what hip resurfacing is about - getting back to an active, pain free life.

Thank You Tim. I appreciate your kind words. I have always felt it was very important to keep this website and discussion group up and running. I use to do it as a full time job. More recently, I have been able to work on it part time. Covid has changed the hip resurfacing world, too. Hopefully, not for much longer. Most surgeons are back to doing hip resurfacing.

Hi Pat. I had my first hip done back in 2012, and my other done 4 days ago (both by Dr. Gross). I was VERY active in the year leading up to my first, and in the year following. Then.....like many (most?) others, we basically forget that we have a fake hip and go about our lives.
With my second coming back up, I check back in to see what was going on, and saw that the activity level was so far down. I'm glad you got it back up and running, and hope that activity picks back up. There are SO many people who might go for a total hip without even knowing this exists.
I'm hoping that activity gets back to the 2012 level. I will be checking in personally with frequency to help any newcomers with questions. Keep up the good work, and thanks for this resource.
