Title: UPCOMING SURGERY
Post by: RUSS H. on October 23, 2008, 11:53:47 PM

[russhagopian] 11:45 pm: I'M HAVING SURGERY DEC 2ND .  NOT SURE IF I'M HAVING RESURFACING OR A TOTAL.  MY DR DOES BOTH.
I'M A LITTLE CONCERNED ABOUT THE LONGEVITY OF THE RESURFACING AND WHETHER I AM AN IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE HR.  I'VE
BEEN TOLD THE ANGLE OF MY HIP BONE IS AT THE LIMIT,  130 DEGREES.  ANY LESS AND IT AFFECTS THE PLACEMENT OF THE CAP
OVER THE BALL OF THE FEMUR,  WHICH COULD LEAD TO NECK FRACTURE AFTER FIVE YEARS.  I DON'T WANT TO DO IT AGAIN.
WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Send an x-ray of your hip to several prominent experienced hip resurfacing doctors that do free email interpretations, e.g. Dr. Su, Dr. DeSmet, Dr. Bose, Dr. Mont.  I did and they all said I was a good candidate for resurfacing.  See elsewhere on this website on how to send a email attachment of your x-ray and for the email addresses of these Drs.
