Title: Choosing resurfacing over osteotomy
Post by: prinny68 on November 20, 2008, 09:17:12 AM
Well it's official, I have, after seeing two osteotomy specialists, chosen to go ahead with the resurfacing option, after confirming with the osteotomy drs that it is probably the best way to go at this point.  I have my MRI scheduled for Dec 12th, and my appointment with the resurfacing doctor on Jan 12th, unless my one dr can get me bumped up on that drs schedule.  It looks like I'm well on my way, and so glad!!!  This is almost over and I can soon be pain free, which to me is something that is so dear to my heart, it makes me wanna cry just thinking about it!  YAY for surgery, and hospitals, and new hips, drs, and no more pain!  ;D

Just wanted to post an update.  I got the UW dr's to call the other clinic and insist I be seen before January.  And it worked! My MRI/Arthrogram is scheduled for next week Wednesday and my surgeon's appointment is on December 10th...  I am SOOOO happy!
