This 78 yr old hippie had Left hand THR MOM (BFH) on Thursday, and will be sent home on Sunday.

I'm prepared to describe both physiical and financial pains.     Was a positive experience thus far

Surgery plus 10.  Staples removed ouchlessly on Friday May 2.NOT 100% painfree, but I can't compare pre-and post-surgery discomfort because one was from bad hip and I presume the other is just the pain from bruised muscles.  Crutches and walker help me in moving around the house, I'm getting lots of sleep and I'm NOT holding back on pain medication

Next inspection is on May 23.

Actually I can report that the Left Hip now supports much more mobility tha pre-surgery, bu we'll have to see how freely I'll be moving by the end of the month.

Almost 3 weeks since LHip surgery -  I've taken NO pain medication for about a week, having my second post-OP inspection on Friday - then we'll see what advice I'm given.

I'm still using some support , cane, crutches, walker, -- to reduce LHip load to less than 50% of body weight - my main complaint is in regard to bathing - I turned out to be allergic to the adhesive in stick-on surface dressing
 - and in regard to using compression stockings to help warfarin blood thinner.

And, by the way, it turns out that the prosthesis MOM BHR was cemented in place.

More another time'
