Playing Basketball
« on: April 20, 2013, 11:12:02 PM »
I had LBHR performed on  6/30/2011 by Dr. Ronald Light in Long Island, NY. I am at the 20 month post op mark and am feeling fine, I am a bit over weight and wanted to know if it would be better to lose some weight before starting to play basketball competitively? I have started to notice that my right hip is beginning to act up from time to time and may be deteriorating.

Thanks,

Drago

I would work it in slowly, try just shooting baskets, or playing one on one. You'll be able to tell whether the basics are going to be ok.
