I just had my left hip resurfaced on the 18th and so far everything has gone well. Dr. Schmalzried at the JRI in Los Angeles performed the procedure.

I am 9 days post-op and aside from some swelling, feel pretty good. I don’t want to overdue it

I am just 5 wks short of my HR and went to one crutch after 3.5 weeks. The past couple days I only use one crutch for longer walks. I can get around  without crutches but am still not 100%.

Just got my 2nd resurfacing done on 11/24. First one was just under a year ago and recovered with no problems. This time I notice more swelling in my leg than previously and have some drainage from the incision area as well that I never experienced before. My doc says it is fine.
