Ross Alber LBHR Nov. 11, 2008 Dr. Hozack
I’m a 45 year old male athlete, who underwent a hip resurfacing on my left hip on 11/3/08. I’m now two months post-op, and today I completed a 40 minute bike workout at the gym. I have no limp, no arthritis pain, and can walk to my heart’s delight. The only problem I have is that I tend to overdo my workouts, which results in very sore gluts and abductor muscles around the surgery. My recovery is accelerating. I would like to extend a sincere thanks for your web site, and all of the people that contribute their experiences. I could never have found the information I needed on this surgery without your site – it simply doesn’t exist elsewhere. My surgeon was Dr. William Hozack, from the Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. If you find anyone in the NJ and/or Philadelphia area that needs to chat or needs to discuss a surgeon, please feel free to give them my name. My contact info is below (I’ve listed my business phone numbers). Best way to reach me is by e-mail first. Thanks again for sharing your experience and your web site. Ross |
