Hi Leslie

I am so sorry to hear about your hip problems and failed hip resurfacing.

There are stories here about people that have had revisions to THRs and are doing well.  I am not sure if you have seen them.  Revisions are difficult physically and emotionally, but most people have recovered well and moved on to an active and pain free life again.
