Well I hit 2 goals this weekend. Saturday I pulled out the dirtbike and did a couple laps through the neighborhood. I can't get my leg over the back fender yet so I climbed on it like a horse and was able to easily get my foot up to the kickstarter (wich I haven't been able to do in years) I kicked it 4 or 5 times and then chickened out and bump started it down a hill ;D , once it was warm I could re-start it somewhat easy. I need a little more r.o.m. to get on and off easily but I gotta tell it was heaven to twist the throttle after being off the bike for almost 8 months.
2nd goal was to get back on a surfboard. Today I paddled out at dogpatch and it was flat flat flat, zero waves, but.......... I was able to go from lying down paddling to sitting on the board and back to the prone paddling position pain free for the first time in.....about 8 years haha. So I haven't caught a wave yet but plan to go down and paddle two or three times during the week. Jumping to my feet feels like its a little ways off still, but I know I could crawl to my feet on a San-O's mushburger right now. Hey Wayne-o, time changed today, that means 3 plus hours of daylight after work...... hhhmmm...you thinking what I'm thinkin ??
Bill,
Way to go! I miss my bike, sold it last year(my dirt and street to make blueprints for my dream house) but I am helping a hare and hound this next Saturday, I one film camera guy on the trail..but what you wrote made me miss my bikes. As for the surfing, haven't really done a proud one, but did do somes but it doesn't seem to be calling me right now..the windy days have. I am due for a visit to family in SoCa sometime, so I will make sure to visit u guys...if you have a board to let me borrow, or I can bring my kite. Like this site and meeting you guys..hopefully we can get together and show offs our stuffs and drink beer..my favorite sport..and tacos.

I stood on our lake 2 weeks ago but it finally melted this week. Not really like surfing. :) I hope I get the OK this summer to water ski, something I use to do every summer.
I use to dirt bike until the put a housing development on the fields I use to ride (12 years ago). I would be a little nervous about kick-starting with my op-leg at this point. Be careful. There is nothing wrong with a bump start.
Bill - Congratulations! So glad to hear you are out getting into mischief.... I hope you got the note I sent you a couple of weeks ago. I am off on a little road trip to see another doc for hopefully the decisive opinion on my angle/ion issue but first I wanted to check out everything I can physically now do . So last week I went horseback riding!
I rode a cute horse who is about a million years old so we didn't go very fast - but I still had a blast. First time in 2 years.
Keep up the good work!
Nancy
