Dr Gross did 1st hip Aug 31 and 2nd Sept 2, discharged from hospital Sept 4. No real pain post op but uncomfortable from swelling for about four days. About six days on crutches, then about four or five days on single cane. Last week to ten days full weight bearing and walking up to approx one mile per day plus activities of daily living in a multi-level house. Just a great procedure and a really good surgeon,,, i am a doc, so I don't say that lightly. Back to work on Monday, 4 weeks postop. ;D
Best wishes for your future.

I am coming up on 6 months post op for my bilateral (left hip 3/31 right 4/1). Things couldn't have gone better. The frst few weeks were a test mostly due to the swelling and limited mobility. But things improved very rapidly, driving at 3 weeks, cutting the grass at 4. In another week I can get bck in the bicycle and not worry about theoccassional fall.
3.5 months out from bilateral cement-less resurfacing with Dr Gross,,, feel like I never had an operation or arthritis!!! ;D ;D ;D
