Title: Best thing I have ever done!
Post by: kristyjones on January 14, 2010, 12:37:02 AM
I am 34 years old, with 2 young girls. After going through multiple ortho MD's, all of which told me I had advanced osteoarthritis of my left hip and may need it replaced...I found Dr Dayton at Univ of Colo Hosp. He resurfaced my hip on Dec 15th, so I am 4 weeks post op, and cannot even believe the results so far......pre op hip pain..GONE! Cannot believe I waited 2 years to do this. If my r hip follows suit and starts to hurt the way the left one did, I will not walk...but run to get it resurfaced if needed. I couldn't be happier with my decision so far to do this. Hope I get many good years out of it!

Hi Kristy

What a great post!   It is good to hear everything is going so well.

I'd second your opinion.   I had to pay for my first BHR in 2004 as it wasn't available on the National Health Service in the area I live in here in the UK.    I have no regrets at spending that money - it was money very well spent.   Fortunately by my second BHR in 2008 I got it free on the NHS.   Even more joy!

Best wishes with your recovery.

Ed
