Hi, I'm a nursing student researching the BHR. If anyone has any information they would be willing to share with a nurse, I would be most appreciative. I am doing a series of research papers this semester. One of the topics is Cyber support.
I'm looking forward to reading your stories and hope to hear from some of you. I will be sharing my research with my classmates, so hopefully more nurses will have additional knowledge regarding hip resurfacing.
Thank you.
Hi
If you take some time to check out much of the info on my website - you will find a lot of medical studies and many articles written by doctors. I also have almost 100 personal hip stories. It is the sharing of that type of information that helps new people.
Hip resurfacing is very popular in Europe and has been used since 1998. Over there there is no quesiton that a hip resurfacing should be used if a person is younger and active. By younger, I mean 70 or younger. See my age chart. One 79 year old man was just done and De Smet did a 75 year old man.
Many of the newer doctors in the US have learned hip resurfacing, but often quickly revert back to THR since hip resurfacing is a much, much more technical surgery than a THR.
I think reading most of my website would give you a lot of info. If you want even more news about hip resurfacing check out my http://www.hipresurfacingnews.com (http://www.hipresurfacingnews.com)
I hope that helps.
