Title: 15 Year resurfaced hip
Post by: Tekka on June 05, 2010, 03:26:12 PM
It is such a small world....

I was walking my dog this morning and I bumped into a 71 year old guy (Mick), he was digging his garden and pushing a wheel barrrow around like a man half his age, but he was limping and he explained his hip was shot after a lifetime of manual labour. I mentioned I had my hip re-surfaced and he explained to me his pain free hip was also re-surfaced 15 years ago by Mr Treacy and he has never given it a second thought.

He went to explain the protocol he followed after his surgery....basically there was no protocol, he was back at work after four weeks and never gave it a second thought. I explained the protocol now and he rolled around laughing.

That has to be great news for all of us with a re-surfaced hip, 15 years and still going strong.

Great Story. Thank You for posting.  Next time you see Mick - get a photo and more info.  I will post his story if he will let me!

We all need inspiration!
