i had hip resurfacing done on 4-16-10 .im 41 years old and needed it due to avascular necrosis of the r/hip .went to 2 doctors who told me i needed THR .3 rd doctor who is doctor scott marwin from nyu joint disease hosp told me i was a prime candidate for BHR .after 10 days i was walking without crutches or a walker .only problem was alot of swelling first 5 days which wasnt too bad .i work as a law enforcement officer in a highway patrol unit and returned to work after 3 months to the day .right now the only complaint i have is pain when sitting down for long periods while driving which is pretty much what i do all day .been back to work 2 weeks and after working all day it hurts driving home .most of it is discomfort around the thigh muscles but it hurts a little around the groin and joint area .was thinking i might have went back too work too early , but i dont have any pain when walking and think if i had a major problem i would not be able to walk at all .i wear motorcycle boots and think my legs are trying to get used to them again .first 2 doctors told me i could not return to work ,and then i found dr marwin who told me i could .im very happy with the results and glad im back to work .my muscles in both legs are sore but im getting used to being back in my daily routine .anyone else have pain when sitting in a car for a long time ? really starts to bother me after sitting in bumper to bumper traffic with my foot on the brake .i have some mild pain right in the joint . anyone have any simmilar problems ?i did do some heavy lifting the first couple of days back and felt sore for a week and that is when i started to feel the joint pain .sorry for the long post .
