Title: Unicyclers?
Post by: Tin Soldier on December 03, 2010, 12:42:13 AM
Hey, maybe it's as unusual as drummers talking about RS.  Anyway, I noticed that when I ride my uni with FAI/impingement, I'm really sore in the hips for awhile.  It's a little different than bicycling, because you have more constant pressure on the feet, no coasting.  Hurts pretty bad to ride.  Which bites, because one of my kids is really getting into it and I want to ride and do tricks also.  I'm starting to wonder if all the uni riding I did in my youth is actually the cause of impingement.  I think there is a lot of strain on the hip joint as well as the knees and ankles with unicyling.  So even if I get my hips resurfaced, maybe I should stay away from unicyling.  Any thoughts?
