The stars with your username indicate how many posts you have made. Administrators and Moderators have more stars since we post more and watch all the topics and replies. Currently there are two of us, myself, Pat, and Chuck. I appreciate the help Chuck has donated to the website. I am sure many other members appreciate his efforts, too.
Administrator and Moderator stars look like the following:

Member stars are earned by the number of posts they have made as follows:

If you post a lot - you earn stars. Wish I was able to give them out to great members like we did in school, but there is no way to do that with this software. I always appreciate members that are willing to post and help others. It is a great way to earn stars and give support to other Surface Hippies.
Pat
Pat,
I appreciate your site. The stars are not important. The information provided and the communication with other hip patients is.
Dan.
Dan,
This is why it's important to stick around like you have to help other hippys.
Chuck
