Howdy gang,
Dr. Gross did my 2nd cementless hip resurface this morning. Although I had a really big cyst in the femoral head, he said he did a bone graft, and eveything came out great!! Have a bit of pain with this one (never had pain aside from muscle pain on the first), bit everyone here says that's normal, as all hips are different. The thing I'm still trying to get my head around is that I was up doing PT and walking halls 3 hours after surgery. Unbelieveable!!
Now comes the "hard" part - getting back to Dallas and healing up. For anyone on the fence about this, I can only recommend that you get to your Dr. of choice and git 'er done!! I've had nothing but a great experirience with Dr. Gross and his team, as well as everyone at Providence NE hospital. They are very friendly, helpful, and true pros. I've been in a bunch of hospitals through my work, and this ranks at the top of my list.
Thanks again to everyone in this community sharing ing your experiences and providing such incredible support. You all absolutely gave me the courage to do this. Have to sign off now, but will keep you updated as I continue to move through this life changing experience. Go Hippy's!!
Richard
