I am 46 and scheduled for BHR with Dr. Rogerson in Feb. Needless to say, I am both excited and nervous, especially travelling from out of state. I have been so thrilled to read about everyone's success stories with Dr. Rogerson and HipHab.
I am looking forward to being a surface hippy and getting back to an active lifestyle here in Montana. I have lost too many years to pain. I am so thankful that I found this website and all of the helpful information and encouraging stories here!
Hi and welcome to Hip Talk.
I gave you your own post since you are starting a new patient story with Dr. Rogerson.
There are many happy Dr. Rogerson patients. You will be one of them soon.
It is sad that so many of us lose so many years to pain and inactivity - but at least when we learn about hip resurfaicng we can get on with our lives again.
I would like to wish you Good Luck with your upcoming surgery. Don't worry about traveling out of state - many of us traveled half way around the world to get our hip resurfacings. I traveled to Belgium to Dr. De Smet. I would do it again in a heart beat. Not one regret.
Dr. Rogerson has designed his rehab to be similar to Dr. De Smets. I was with 8 other hippies in Belgium and we all had quick and easy recoveries.
I wish the same for you. Stay in touch. I look forward to hearing all about your surgery and recovery.
