It is impossible to find the right words to communicate how grateful I am to have found this website, and all the wonderful people who take the time to post here. The guidance and leadership shown by you Hippys enables Newbies like me to move forward, one day at a time, toward the surgery that will give us back our lives. We all start at pretty much the same place, depressed, confused and terribly afraid. None of these emotions ever really go away, they just have to be overcome. One day at a time.
I'll be afraid and confused tomorrow as I head into surgery, but not nearly as afraid and confused as I was before I found this site. I've picked a good, experienced surgeon, bought a recliner, got my raised toilet seat, crutches and walker, game ready machine and have physical therapy already scheduled twice a week for four weeks. Advice given for all these things by many people on this website.
Thank you all for the support that enabled me to get to this date. I'll be thinking of you, remembering your positive stories and words of encouragement to each other throughout the day today, and in the morning. What a wonderful support group. I couldn't have asked for more.
Many thanks from Boomer
Good Luck!!!
Good luck and keep us posted Boomer, see you on the other side...
Good luck Boomer. You seem like you're as ready as you can be. I know you'll do fine!
Good luck and god bless mate. You'll be fine.
Danny
Boomer, Good luck mate. Catch you on the other side - it's when you start getting you life back!
Beaming good thoughts to you from NZ,
Simon
Good Luck Boomer, from the time you wake up, it just keeps on getting better!
Good luck with everything. Just know that every day gets easier and easier. Once the surgery is over you will know you made the right decision.
Best wishes Boomer! I was definitely a bit nervous but comforted by the fact that I had done everything I could to insure a good outcome. It sounds like you have done so as well.
Look forward to reports from the other side.
Dan
Boomer, you are the epitome of what this site is all about. Kick back and let them take care of you. Best of luck and can't wait to follow your recovery.
Curt
Best to you tomorrow...
