Title: Size of type and signature information
Post by: Nadia Smith on July 04, 2011, 01:50:03 PM
Hi Pat!

I'm new and have just written some posts, but how do I get the info about my hip ops printed in smaller print below my messages, please?
Sorry, I'm not terribly computer savvy!

Nadia

PS It's a great website! :)

Hi Nadia,
I'm not sure if this is what you have in mind, but when you are in the window where you're writing your posts, there's a pull-down box above the text box that says "font size".

If you highlight the text you want to make smaller, and choose "8 pt" from the pull down list, it will look like this.

If you want it even smaller, you can replace the "8", in the brackets that the software adds, with a "6" and it will look like this.

Hi Nadia, I believe you may be referring to your profile signature.

If you are, go to the top of this page and click on "profile", this brings up another page, move the curser to "modify profile", click on "forum profile", scroll down to "Signature",  this brings up a window where you can type in your hip surgery info.

Hope this helps, moe

I see you have it now,

Thanks Mike, but what I meant was a signature, and I think I've done it! :-*

Well, after a long time on this website, this thread has got me to post a profile photo.   I haven't got a dog, and the fish in my small pond are camera shy.   Will a local squirrel do?

Dogs, fish, squirrels. At last this forum is getting onto serious matters.

Hi,

Is it possible to reply to a specific person in the topic, number 11 or example,  or are all the replies ending up in an order?

Hi
They end up in order.  You can either make your reply to that person or even email them personally using the email image under their username.
