I had my left hip resurfaced in 2008 and know that I will eventually be a bi-lateral hippy. I'm having some pain in the right hip, but not all the time. Dr. says it looks awful on x-ray. My problem now is that I drag that leg while I'm walking. It seems like I'm not picking it up high enough when I make a step. It drags, I trip (like a clutz), regain my balance and keep walking. It probably happens 10 times a day. Anyone else have this problem? I'm going to ask my PT if he thinks it's related to muscle weakness.

Hi Dimples,
It could be an ROM issue related to the osteoarthritis. I noticed for the past few years before I got my two bionic implants that I was having in increasingly hard time stepping over things. I couldn't pick either foot up very far off the ground, and my stride was getting shorter. It was definitly an ROM issue for me because I saw a dramatic improvement within a couple months after my surgery.

That is not that uncommon, it's related to both strength and ROM. When you don't use your hip you lose strength and ROM.
BTW, your sig says 2008.
