Title: Knee Pain
Post by: mslendzion on January 21, 2012, 10:11:14 AM
Had PT Thursday, lots off stretching. Friday my knee was really sore, both to the touch and weight bearing. The swelling is not as bad as before but my knee is sore today too. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

I've had knee pain off and on during both recoveries (none now, both are in great shape). The thing to remember is that your body is really reshaping itself and will sometimes put stress on different parts as you get more active. Also muscles are coming back to life that were either lightly used or atrophied during the OA.

Obviously listen to your body, rest a lot, ice and the pain will subside.

Definitely had knee pain.  In fact there were times when I was icing my knees as much as my hip.

Now at 5.5 months I have had no knee pain for weeks.

Still early, 3 weeks?.  As Hern says I agree you're still trying to reshape things.  I had very little knee pain after surgery, but I could see if you are using your knees more than you did before, simply because of more aggressive exercise, your knees might be getting a little more work.
