i am about 4 months post-op and happy to report my biggest "issue" today is my scar. of course, this is not a big issue but wondering a few things.
how visible was your scar at 4 months? mine has not changed very much since month 1.
and, are you using any scar creams with success after 4 months? i haved used merdena since month 1 and on the merdena package it says "use for 8 weeks on new scars and 3 to 4 months for exsiting scars". so i wonder if i should continue to use this anymore.
My PT suggested using Vit E Oil. It felt good but not sure it made any real difference.

I've been using bio oil since my wound fully healed. I'm not sure if it's working but the scar is nicely healed. It's still very red but I'm told that's not a bad thing.
good question. My first hr was stapled. the scar is ugly. the second was has internal sutures. It is healing so nice and the scar is real light at 4 weeks. I wonder if the type of sutures makes a difference or surgeon skill?
I am using Wan Hau Oil recommended by my acupunturist and my scar seems to be fading a bit. I am only at 6 wks. It's a pretty ugly scar - stapled and about 8" long. I'm 5'6" and it really stands out. I was teasing my 19 yr old son I was going to get a tattoo of a train with a few cars and a caboose on it. maybe a train station too. LOL
